Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using surflifeimages.com or placing an order. By accessing our website or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & COPYRIGHT

All photographs, images, artwork, text, logos, and content on surflifeimages.com are the exclusive proprietary and copyrighted property of SurfLifeImages and Michael Knoell. All rights reserved.

  • You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, publish, display, or create derivative works from any image or content on this site without prior written permission from Michael Knoell.

  • Purchasing a print does not transfer copyright or any intellectual property rights to the buyer.

  • Unauthorized use of any image may result in legal action.

If you wish to license an image for commercial or editorial use, please contact us at surflifeimages@gmail.com.

2. LIMITED EDITIONS

Limited edition prints are produced in strictly limited quantities as stated on each product page. Each limited edition print is:

  • Signed and numbered by Michael Knoell

  • Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity

  • Produced in the edition size stated at time of purchase

Once an edition is sold out, it will not be reprinted. Edition sizes and availability are subject to change without notice until a purchase is completed.

3. ORDERS & PAYMENT

By placing an order, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete

  • You are authorized to use the payment method provided

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or product unavailability. If your order is cancelled after payment, you will receive a full refund.

4. PRICING

All prices are listed in US Dollars. Prices are subject to change without notice. Sales tax will be applied where required by law. International orders may be subject to customs duties and taxes, which are the responsibility of the buyer.

5. PRODUCTION & DELIVERY

Our fine art prints are produced to order. Please allow the following timeframes:

  • Production: 5–10 business days

  • Domestic shipping (US): 3–7 business days after production

  • International shipping (Costa Rica and other destinations): 7–21 business days after production

These are estimated timeframes only. SurfLifeImages is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or other circumstances outside our control. We will make every effort to assist with any shipping issues that arise.

Tracking information will be provided when your order ships.

6. PRINT QUALITY & MATERIALS

All prints are produced using museum-quality materials including archival inks and substrates. Available print materials include metal, acrylic, and archival paper. Specific materials and sizes are described on each product page.

Due to differences in monitor calibration and display settings, colors in the final print may vary slightly from what you see on screen. We take great care to ensure accurate color reproduction.

7. RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Please refer to our separate Terms of Sale and Return Policy for full details on returns, exchanges, and damaged orders.

8. WEBSITE USE

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website

  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or download content

  • Use the website to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content

We reserve the right to terminate access to the website for any user who violates these Terms.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

This website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. SurfLifeImages makes no representations about the accuracy or completeness of any content on the site.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SurfLifeImages and Michael Knoell shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of this website or purchase of our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order in question.

11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Orange County, California.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
