The ocean has been my teacher for as long as I can remember. It doesn't care about your schedule or your ego. It moves on its own time, pulls light from nowhere, and reminds you — every single time — that you're not in charge.
 

I've spent a lifetime at the water's edge learning to be okay with that.

Most coastal photography chases color—the golden hour, the turquoise water, the vivid sunset. While I occasionally capture those fleeting colors, my true work goes in the opposite direction. Strip away the color and something else emerges: the true weight of the water, the architecture of a wave, the silence inside a breaking swell. Black and white doesn't simplify the ocean or landscape. It reveals it.

I'm not interested in over-processing or manufacturing something that didn't exist. If an image doesn't hold up over time, it doesn't make the cut.

This isn't about filling a wall. It's about owning a moment.​
