At the north end of Newport Beach, a weathered snow fence marks the edge of the bird sanctuary — a boundary built to protect, now slowly absorbed by the very landscape it was meant to guard. Shot on a still, overcast day, the image traces the fence's slow surrender: slats bowing, posts listing, the whole structure quietly disappearing into the dunes one season at a time.
